One of the first goddesses, Thelmourga appears as an elderly woman with the head of a black widow spider. Thelmourga’s very presence is poisonous; she spreads chaos and pain wherever she chooses to go. Thelmourga’s worshipers often inflict poisons on themselves to feel their mistress’s touch. Thelmourga is often associated with silent creatures with deadly poison, the black widow, the venomous cobra, and the deadliest jellyfish are all harbingers of the Widow in the Woods. Thelmourga is often at war with both Talia, who brings order to the chaotic wilds, and Matsura, patron of peaceful wild creatures.
