The use of chains in fantasy games is both common and iconic. Whether it comes in the form of a thief-catcher binding a prisoner or a slaver leading a line of the captured to market, chains are a part of every day life in many fantasy settings. The Holy Chain Disciple embraces the chains and their deep spiritual meaning, binding themselves to their deity with lengths of holy steel.

Holy Chain Discipline
At 1st level, the warpriest learns to use lengths of chain as a whip. He gain Weapon Focus (Whip) and Whip Mastery as bonus feats, even if he does not meet their prerequisites. Additionally, the warpriest may use a 15 foot length of chain as a whip.
At 4th level, whips the warpriest wield gain the prehensile weapon enchantment. The warpriest may spend a use of his blessings ability in place of panache for this ability. At 8th level when the holy chain disciple hits with a whip, he may make a disarm or trip combat maneuver against his target as a swift action. This combat maneuver does not provoke attacks of opportunity. At 12th level, he may add his Wisdom modifier to his CMB in addition to his Strength modifier when making combat maneuver checks with a chain used as a whip.
At 16th level, when the warpriest wields a chain as a whip, that whip gains the brilliant energy weapon enchantment. At 20th level, when the holy chain disciple uses a chain as a whip, he increases the critical threat range and critical multiplier of his whip to 19-20/x3. This does not stack with other abilities that increase the critical threat range or critical multiplier of a weapon.

Armor of Chains
Beginning at 7th level, the warpriest’s whirling chains grant him additional protection. On any turn that the warpriest makes an attack with a chain used as a whip, he gains a +1 deflection bonus to his AC until the beginning of his next turn.
