Adrigor is the voice of the wilds, his cry representing the territorial greed of the wolf, the unbridled ferocity of the boar and the hostility of the wolverine. He appears as a tall and brawny human with blood red skin and long yellowing tusks. Adrigor is known for his disdain for language and civilization. Those who appeal to him must speak in meaningful animal cries or strong thought, lest they anger the Raging Sovereign. Adrigor is often at odds with Tongvaidu, disagreeing over nature’s role in the growth of civilization.
Birth of Adrigor
Clang! Clang!
The forest shook as one by one, pine trees fell left and right, the loggers humming a merry tune.
“Here!” A cry rang through the lumber yard, “It is a yew tree, we must cut it down and divide the wood amongst us!”
And as the lumberers readied their axes, Adrigor stepped forth from the yew tree, his skin blood red and his tusks yellowed with age. Adrigor gored the first logger and turned to the rest.
They ran but Adrigor could not be escaped. He followed, killing the loggers and rampaging through their village.
After the slaughter, he declared the yew from which he first stepped sacred ground and returned to his tree. Adrigor sometimes leaves his tree to exact vengeance on travelers who pass too close, for the forest has no business bowing to the encroachment of civilization.
