Elric is a quiet, simple deity who waits, watches, and chronicles the lives and exploits of the deities of Almira. He protects the weak and oppressed in all he does. Those who follow the Watcher from the Hearth learn to make their own lives easier by acquiescing to their master’s will. Elric strongly urges respect and loyalty from servants; his priests claim that small discomforts are best ignored if doing so maintains the comfort of the community. After all, a job is a job, an a warm hearth is better than a cold gutter. Elric appears regularly to servants and slaves when they are given commendations by their masters. He is directly opposed by Jericho, who advocates for servants and slaves to take what they are owed if they are not given adequate compensation.
