The Path is a monastic tradition with practitioners throughout Almira. These ascetics believe that true enlightenment can only come through logical understanding of the world and commit themselves to rigorous academic study.

Elemental Study (Su)
The path studied slayer does not gain a bonus on attack rolls against his studied target. The additional damage dealt by the path studied slayer’s studied target class feature doubled and is acid, cold, electricity or fire damage instead of the attack’s original damage type. This damage type is chosen at 1st level and cannot be changed.

Path Initiation
At 1st level, the path studied slayer begins his initiation into The Path. At the beginning of each day, the path studied slayer chooses a single Knowledge skill. He gains an insight bonus on this skill equal to 1/2 his level for 24 hours.

Practitioner of the Path (Su)
At 3rd level, the path studied slayer learns to find hidden weaknesses in his target. He ignores 5 points of energy resistance possessed by his studied target. At 6th level, and every 3 levels thereafter, he ignores an additional 5 points of resistance (maximum 30 points of energy resistance at 18th level)
This replaces sneak attack
Elemental Knowledge (Su)
At 11th level, the path studied slayer learns to channel elemental energy into his weapon. He may spend a swift action to grant a weapon he is wielding the corrosive, flaming, icy, or shocking weapon property for a number of rounds equal to his level. The path studied slayer may use this ability once per day at 11th level and an additional time per day at 14th level and every 3 levels thereafter.

Study Break (Sp)
At 14th level, when the path studied slayer gains a new studied target, he may spend a swift action may cast psychic asylum as a spell-like ability. He may use this ability once per day at 14th level and an additional time per day at 17th and 20th level.
This replaces quarry
Apex Sight (Sp)
At 19th level, the path studied slayer learns to find the exact point in which elemental damage would be most devastating. He ignores immunity to the damage type dealt by his elemental study.
