Jichi is loosely translated from Sylvan to mean “thinks without a brain.” Jichi are magical humanoids born in places with an influx and excess of arcane magic. Warm, friendly, and highly logical, jichi cannot learn cultural norms and mores through socialization or social interaction. They must study books and texts in order to learn social skills.
Jichi are “preprogrammed” at birth with bits of knowledge from each spellcaster whose errant magic contributed to the jichi’s creation. This leads jichi to considerable gaps in knowledge and a lack of common sense, but also makes them adept at learned magic, such as that practiced by wizards and magi.
