Instead of creating bombs that blast his enemies, the Brightspark Alchemist creates potent flares which damage and blind those who are foolish enough to cross his path.
Brightspark Flare (Su)
The brightspark alchemist uses flares in combat, rockets which explode on contact to burn and blind his foes. The brightspark alchemist can launch a flare as a standard action, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. The struck creature is covered in agonizing flames which blind the target and inflict 1d6 points of fire damage each round for 1 round per 2 alchemist levels (rounded up). The target can attempt a Reflex saving throw each round to negate the damage and suppresses the blindness for that round (DC = 10 + 1/2 the alchemist's level + his Int modifier). Multiple uses of this ability do not stack. A brightspark alchemist can launch a number of flares each day equal to his class level + his Intelligence modifier.
This replaces bombs and throw anything
Flare Volley (Ex)
At 8th level, the brightspark alchemist can launch a flare in place of an attack.
This replaces the discovery gained at 8th level.
Brightspark Cannonade (Su)
At 16th level, the brightspark alchemist may spend a full-round action to loose a flare at any number of creatures within 30 feet. The DC of these flares is increased +1 for each flare loosed beyond the first.
