Hyalus was once a glacier, which by mere chance froze in the shape of a massive angel. So great was this perfection that Hyalus gained both sentience and divinity. Though he is a 100 foot tall angel made of living ice, Hyalus is rarely seen. He is said to be omniscient and spends his immortal days watching the the denizens of Almira bicker. Hyalus is said to know the event which signals the end of the world, but refuses to divulge such knowledge, lest it fall into the wrong hands.
