A deity of incredible beauty, Matsura is rarely seen but often worshiped. She maintains a number of small gardens around Almira and those who find the places of innocent sanctuary know they are safe within their confines. Fruit trees grow within and small animals frolic, unaware of the terror of the outside world. These sanctuaries prevent any and all harm to those within them, their beauty a magical barrier against the profanity of violence.
Though rarely seen, Matsura is said to resemble a dark-skinned woman with a tight bun of curly hair, wearing a kimono of magical silk. Matsura’s kimono reflects the deepest desires of those who behold it. A goddess of virginity, Matsura spurns men who worship her for her beauty, often cursing them with impotence and grotesque deformities.
