Ever upwards
does the mountain rise. Bleak and ruthless, no end in sight. -From Root to Peak

1st - The Unformed Plane of Mountain
As the mountains rises, so to does the Unformed Plane of the Mountain ascend eternally upward. The topography of the Unformed Plane of the Mountain is not fixed, in fact, to descend down the face of this rocky plane is impossible. “Down” and “backwards” are not concepts which exist within this unformed plane. A traveler may only progress forward, up the face of the mountain.
2nd - Plane of Shadow
Lying in the shadow of the Unformed Plane of the Mountain, the Plane of Shadow is a twisted reflection of the Material plane. Cities, forests, landscape features, and even distances are twisted and distorted within the Plane of Shadow. With the proper magics, any shadow on the Material Plane can be used to access the Plane of Shadow. Many mages make use of these abundant portals and the distorted distance within the Plane of Shadow to travel vast distances.
3rd - El Dorado
The lost plane of El Dorado is a plane of duality. In the center of this vast, empty pit lies a gleaming city composed entirely of precious metals and stones. An adamantine platform floats in the void, upon which golden mountains rise into the sky, jade bushes gleam with ruby berries. A moon of pure silver hangs hangs over the city and quartz stars float in the area nearby. The rest of the plane is an empty void, a hungry pit descending into eternity. Traveling to El Dorado is by no means guaranteed a trip to the city, and most often results in instant death as travellers fall into the pit, unable to cast spells or regain their balance.
4th - Khumbu
The final plane of the Mountainous Tract is Khumbu, the Kitsune Paradise. Khumbu is the one of the only Outer Planes accessible from the Material Plane and lies at the top of the temple within Tian Ta. This paradise is a realm of pure bliss, and the kitsune ancestors who reside here back in eternal sunlight. Those who enter this paradise must have incredible willpower, or else waste away inside, unable to leave until their death shunts them to the Four Bridges of the Astral Plane.
