Not all oracles are chosen as a divine conduit. Some use study and academic research to become so conversant in a subject they form a magical attachment to it.
Deific Study
A studied oracle is not chosen by the gods, but instead gains power from the study and worship of many different deities in a very specific field. She uses her Intelligence score and modifier in place of her Charisma score and modifier for all class features.
Diminished Spell Knowledge
A studied oracle gains 1 fewer spell known of each spell level she knows.
Domain
A studied oracle gains the cleric domain related most closely related to her mystery (for example, an oracle of with the flame mystery would gain the fire domain) She uses her Intelligence score and modifier in place of her Wisdom score and modifier and uses her oracle level in place of her cleric level for the purposes of her domain abilities. She gains the listed domain spells as additional spells known.
This replaces the studied oracle’s revelations gains at 1st and 7th level
Pantheistic Avatar (Sp)
At 20th level, the oracle gains becomes the favored avatar of a vast number of deities relating to his field of study. She may cast greater planar ally as a spell-like ability once per day, though the requested task may not take longer than 24 hours. The oracle must still provide payment for lengthy or dangerous tasks.
