Capricious waves-
sometimes a gentle whisper or else a fearsome roar -The Dancing Ocean
|
1st - The Unformed Plane of the Ocean
This infinite ocean teems with schools of fish, coral reefs and kelp forests. Ocean currents move through the vast plane, sweeping visitors from warm coral reefs to icy arctic waters within pure sand transitioning into gravel and dropping off into infinitely deep crevices. The Unformed Plane of the Ocean bleeds into the Material Plane through the Endless Ocean, a massive portal at Almira’s northern cap.
2nd - Elemental Plane of Water
Like all elemental planes, the Elemental Plane of Water has no horizon, it is simply a plane filled with water. The elemental waters are incredibly pure, with no salt or minerals suspended within. Electrical attacks often cannot does not function within this plane, for there are no minerals within the water to conduct the electricity.
3rd - Thule, Edge of the Waters
Thule, the Edge of the Waters, is a locus of liminal energy. To those who cannot perceive its true form, Thule manifests as an endless beach. To the enlightened, Thule is the manifestation of that which lies beyond the horizon. Monks and sages come to the shores of Thule to meditate on liminality, in hopes of accessing the immense power of this outer plane.
4th - Atet, the Everywhere Wharf
This massive, occult wharf is filled with spirit vessels, psychic imprints of every ship to be created in the Material Plane. Those with abundant psychic power can command these ships and use them to navigate the Outer Planes. Atet is an occult crossroads; the Material Plane and every Outer Plane can be accessed from Atet via spirit vessels.
5th - Atlantis
When a ship sinks and is lost to memory, when great wealth is dragged into the ocean by a typhoon or tsunami, the treasure sinks through the veil between the planes and into Atlantis. Once an ancient mortal city dragged under the waves, this sunken city is surrounded by a void of empty water. Much like the lost city within the Plane of El Dorado, the city within the plane of Atlantis is nearly impossible to find, and the crushing depths are more likely to kill explorers than to enrich them.
