Damini was born to a pair of hardworking peasants in the Clockwork City of Harjess; the boy was strong and health except for a facial which caused his skin to droop, slurring his speech and impairing his vision. Cast out by his parents, Damini begged and stole, attempting to build a better life for himself.
All this changed in a single, horrific moment. While beggin on the airship docks, a group of drunk and violent sailors brutally beat the small boy and threw in a pile of magical refuse. As he lay suffering, the errant magics infused themselves into Damini’s body, causing his limbs to constantly twist and change and his soul to mutate into a spark of divinity.
Damini appears as an ever shifting amalgam of human and humanoid limbs emerging from a ball of rust colored flesh, crawling across the land in search of those who take advantage of the powerless. Worshippers of Damini often have the same drive; Daminian inquisitors in particular are known for seeking out those who indulge in wanton acts of violence and tearing them apart
