Graveflies a small, pitch black insects which vaguely resemble fireflies. These small creatures live within the Catacombs and harvest the soul dust of those who died so that it may coalesce and reincarnate into a new soul.

Familiar: A 7th-level spellcaster within one step of true neutral with the Improved Familiar feat can select a gravefly as a familiar. A gravefly familiar loses the mindless trait and has an Intelligence score appropriate for its master's level. A divine spellcaster who worships Chriuk, the Graveyard Man counts his divine spellcasting levels as arcane spellcasting levels for the purposes of meeting the prerequisites of Improved Familiar when selecting a gravefly.
Necroluminescence (Su): A gravefly stores the dust of decomposed souls within its body, shedding soft light like a torch. Creatures within this light gain a +1 bonus on Will saving throws made to resist spells with the Emotion descriptor. As a full-round action, the gravefly may cause the light to flare, doubling its range and the bonus granted on Will saving throws for 2 rounds, after which the light is extinguished until the gravefly is able to once again able to harvest the dust of souls from the Catacombs (see below).
Planar Wanderer (Su): Once per day, the gravefly may spend a swift action to enter the Catacombs in the Unformed Plane of the Earth to collect the dust of souls. This functions as plane shift, though the gravefly can only transports itself, it always enters the Catacombs, and is sent back to the location that it left at the beginning of its next turn. If the gravefly’s light was extinguished, it is renewed upon returning to the Material Plane.
