These aberrations toe the line between the living and the dead, animated with both negative and positive energy. A rotling is formed from a mixture of bone, fungus, dead plants and dried herbs. These materials cost 50 gp. After the materials are set to mature, it is animated through an extended magical ritual that requires a specially prepared graveyard costing an additional 1,000 gp to supply.
A rotling with more than 2 Hit Dice can be created, but each additional Hit Die adds +2,000 gp to the cost to create. A rotling can gain the augmentations available to both a leshy and a homunculus. The materials for which must be purchased and buried in the muck that births the rotling. If the rotlings creator wishes another creature to be its master, the creature must add hair, nail clippings or excrement from the master to be as part of the ritual of creation.
