Investigators of The Path are masters of combat, able to study their targets and make powerful, calculates strikes based on their own observations and the vast amounts of knowledge possessed by this organization.
Student of Combat
The path researcher studies the intricacies of combat as a way of understanding the world as a whole. He gains the Studied Combat class feature at 1st level. His insight bonus from studied combat is equal to 1/2 his investigator level (minimum 1).
At 4th level, when the path researcher studies a creature, he may attempt a relevant knowledge check (DC 10 + the target’s HD). If successful, his studied combat lasts 1 additional round + 1 per 5 by which he exceeds the DC.
At 7th level, the path researcher may study a creature he has previously studied without spending inspiration
At 10th level, the path researcher may study a creature as a swift action or a move action.
At 13th level, the path researcher when the path researcher uses her studied strike, her studied combat does not end.
At 16th level, the path researcher’s studied combat lasts for a number of minutes equal to her Intelligence modifier, instead of a number of rounds.
This replaces alchemy
Research Subject
At 5th level, when the path researcher uses his inspiration on an attack roll, he may add his studied strike dice to his damage roll.
This replaces the investigator talent gained at 5th level
Combat Inspiration
At 9th level, the path researcher must select the Combat Inspiration talent. At 19th level, the path researcher must select the Greater Combat Inspiration talent.
This modifies the investigator talents gained at 9th and 19th levels
