Haygi

Haygi is known to the people of the Jadengarde as the True Goddess of Chaos; within this culture, all primarily chaotic deities are seen simply as aspects of Haygi. The Harvest Queen presides of wind, rain and wild growth. Her breezes and boughs provide shelter and destroy trade goods in equal turn, for she embodies the fickleness of nature.

In her aspect of the Soul of the Hunt, Haygi is responsible for the wild creatures and plants which sustain the caravans of the Jadengarde. Great festivals honoring this aspect are thrown during the equinoxes, when she is most balanced. During the Spring Equinox, the Vaesar is thrown to ask Haygi to make the wild fruits and vegetables bountiful for foraging. During the Autumn Equinox, the Rudenocht is thrown to ask Haygi to make the wild animals fat and lazy, so that winter hunting may be good.

Haygi’s priests are responsible for providing food on the road between destinations. These rough men and women organize forages and hunts and often take training as rangers, slayers, druids, shamans or hunters.
