Silwyr is known to the people of the Jadengarde as the True God of Neutrality; within this culture, all primarily neutral deities are seen simply as aspects of Silwyr. This graceful figure presides over matters of trade and wealth, and he is the valuator of people in Death. This elven god maintains two aspects, The Knave of Coins and The Silver Judge.
In his aspect of the Knave of Coins, Silwyr valuates the material worth of his subjects as they live. When those who have too much refuse to spend or give, he sends trouble to balance the scales. In his aspect of the Silver Judge, Silwyr valuates the worth of the dead.
When a member of the Jadengarde dies, Silwyr sets the wealth of the soul upon the left plate of his scale and their charity upon the right plate of his scale. If the scales align, the soul may enter the Catacombs. If the deceased soul was uncharitable and hoarded wealth or if they were overly charitable and harmed the livelihood of their caravan, the soul is barred from the afterlife. The soul decays, as all souls do after death in Almira, and the pain of this purgatory acts as penance which rights the scales.
Silwyr’s priests are responsible for the resolution of conflicts within each Jadengarde caravan, acting not as judges but as neutral arbiters between parties. His priests are often trained as investigators, psychics, wizards, occultists, and rogues.
